For Apoichos Studio, a multidisciplinary space dedicated to aerial acrobatics, dance, and yoga, the lighting design was conceived around the idea of a subtle indoor constellation. The main studio ceiling is animated by an array of miniature recessed downlights, carefully distributed across independent lighting circuits to provide maximum flexibility for the diverse activities hosted within the space.

Each lighting scenario has been tailored to support different modes of use. During aerial acrobatics sessions, selected luminaires can be activated independently to ensure precise illumination around the suspended apparatus while maintaining clear overhead space and minimizing visual distractions for performers. For dance classes and rehearsals, alternative lighting scenes create a balanced and comfortable environment, adapting to both movement and observation.

To complement the functional ceiling lighting, indirect lighting elements were introduced to enrich the atmosphere of the studio. A decorative wall-mounted luminaire and concealed linear lighting integrated within the mirror contribute to a softer, low-key ambient glow, supporting moments of concentration, relaxation, and mindfulness. This layered approach allows the space to transition seamlessly between energetic physical activity and more introspective practices such as yoga and stretching.

The result is a flexible and intuitive lighting environment that enhances both the spatial experience and the emotional character of the studio, while remaining discreetly integrated into the architectural composition.
