The project concerns the renovation of a 120 sq.m. apartment in Vyronas, for the needs of a young family of four. The solution proposes an open space for living and dining on the southwest side of the apartment, in contact with a large elongated balcony.

The children’s and parents’ bedrooms are located on either side of the entrance, with a northeast orientation, defined by the two main beams - made of exposed concrete - running through the space. In the central space they create, a new undulating roof is designed, which includes mechanical equipment. Wood and porcelain dominate the new floor and furniture additions, while concrete is encountered again on the kitchen countertop. The apartment is upgraded both energetically and aesthetically with the installation of new frames, underfloor heating, and a concealed system for cooling and ventilation of the spaces.
